The park is very clean and their are park workers everywhere. Its 5 to enter and you must display your receipt at all times or you will get a ticket. Bring water shoes or some sandals, since there are rocky sections in the river. Oregon Department of Forestry and Estacada Rural Fire District investigators are actively investigating the cause and origin of the Milo McIver State Park Fire, which ignited near Estacada on Sept. We offer senior and military/veteran discounts to qualifying customers. You can either come to the visitors center and pay or put your money in the collection envelopes in the green collection box in the Equestrian park. A daily rider's fee is also required which is $12 per rider. The park trails are divided into two sections, the Rivermill trails in the east of the park and the Riverbend trails in the west. Land and water activities abound at this scenic park along the Clackamas River. A daily or annual park pass will be required, $5 for a daily pass and $50 for an Annual pass, good to the end of the month a year from your purchase date. The starting point for the horse trails is in the Equestrian campgrounds themselves, obviously marked for customer convenience. That's the entrance for our Equestrian campers who can't cross the bridge with their trailers. ![]() Horse trailer parking is coming in from our Hwy 72 entrance, coming in from Railroad Avenue. Out of a scale of 0-100 of the campsites that we have visited, I would give this one a thousand! We had the most wonderful time on our camping trip to Watson Mill Bridge State Park. Plus, the bathhouse was clean and close by. The fire pit was nice, the picnic table, and the gravel driveway. It was easy to pull in and out of and the way that it was positioned made us feel like we had tons of privacy. Oh my goodness! The RV spots are the best that we have ever stayed at. There are smaller bridges over smaller creeks and gullies that are fun to walk over and keep the trails interesting. We saw deer, squirrels, and a few rabbits. We call it "trapsing through the woods" and there is no better place to do that than at Watson Mill. There are many trails through the woods that are good for all ages. If you are looking to have some quality family time in a peaceful setting than this is the place for you. We have visited Watson Mill State Park several times, each time better than the last. ![]() ![]() You will pass the ruins of a old hydro power plant. We LOVED the hike to the bridge, about 6/10 of a mile. No washer and dryer any longer at the bath house so be prepared for that. There is one shower on the lady’s side and two on the men’s. The hike up to the bath house is fine but it will get your heart pumping. There is a water spigot but it’s in an area with red clay near the entrance to the site so it’s messy. This site is best enjoyed in dry weather. Getting back up if it had been raining would probably not be guaranteed, so watch the weather carefully. The drive down is washed out a bit but a 2 wheel drive Tahoe handled it. There is a picnic table and a fire pit with a built in grill, but we cooked on our Coleman stove and charcoal grill mostly. Campground amenities : Reservable, tent sites, showers, restrooms, hiking, fishing, solar. We had 2 tents but you could probably fit at least 4 or 5 comfortably on the site.
